4 Tools to Tweet to Multiple Twitter Accounts

Nowadays it is a norm to run more than one blogs as well as Tweet to more than one Twitter accounts. By doing this we are able to separate personal life from our business and professional updates, as we manage various projects on absolutely different topics. For example, would my SEJ readers be interested in what I am doing tonight? My close friends would probably be but my SEO contacts – I personally doubt they will. So why would I bother them with that information. Therefore if you look at my @seosmarty account, you will seldom see any personal updates because I don’t like to trash my followers’ dashboards. If I need to say something personal, I will do that using my other personal account. So I am sure many people would be willing to know how to Tweet to multiple accounts: Hootsuite A web-based tool that makes it easy to update to multiple Twitter accounts: Register at the site; Set up your Twitter accounts: Confirm your account by clicking the verification link in the email message; Start Tweeting: At the dashboard you will be able to see your whole Twitter stream (each profile in a separate tab): Home feed; Mentions / replies; Direct messages; Pending Tweets. To send a tweet, you can either update it from the website, or use a bookmarklet : When on a page you want to Tweet, click the bookmarklet; A pop-up will appear with retrieved page title and shortened URL; Select the profiles to send a Tweet to; Or click Send Later to set a future time to send your tweet. Additional features: Account Stats : View all the activity of each of your Twitter accounts during the set period of time.; Personalized Layout : Customize the layout just the way you want it with tabs and columns. Create Groups : Create customizable columns for your friends, groups or interests. Quick Search : Search terms to find out what people are saying about them right now. Twitter Turns On Opt-In GeoLocation Feature

Twitter has just activated its GeoLocation feature which will let you opt-in whether you want your tweets to be tagged  with your current location.  The feature is carried not on your Twitter.com account but on third-party Twitter apps which will use the Geolocation API  released by Twitter. If you’re using Twitter apps such as Birdfeed, Seesmic Web, Foursquare among others and those apps implemented Twitter’s GeoLocation API all your tweets will then be tagged with your current location. Seeismic has implemented geotagging features already. So if your using it as a desktop client for Twitter, you might want to check out how this geatagging feature goes. So, what’s good about this feature? There’s plenty actually. For one, it could spark up more local conversations between you and your Twitter followers as well as the people you follow on Twitter. You can easily find out events that are happening in a nearby locality just by checking out your Twitter timeline. ReadWriteWeb has several suggestions and creative ideas, you might want to check them out . You can enable geotagging on your Twitter account by going to the Settings, and selecting the enable geotagging option. Check out the SEO Tools guide at Search Engine Journal . Pixelsilk: SEO-Friendly Content Management System

Why would one want to use a content management system? The major benefits include: (1) the ability to easily create and publish web content with no programming language knowledge required and (2) the ability to connect multiple websites and multiple users under one handy dashboard. With Pixelsilk content management system we have yet another benefit: easily optimize your website for search engines. I had a great time talking to the company representative last week who walked me through the whole process of adding and optimizing web content with Pixelsilk CMS, so I am sharing that experience with you today. I don’t have huge experience with web-based content management systems (as I normally don’t use any) but I really liked Pixelsilk for the main reasons: It is very flexible: enjoy full control over your HTML, CSS, and overall SEO; It is really user-friendly and doesn’t take any time to figure it out (so should be easy to get your team work with it). Here’s a quick feature overview (with some SEO focus of course): Create new

Retweet Function Rolls Out on a Limited Basis

Today Twitter rolled out its retweet function on a limited basis: We’ve just activated a feature called retweet on a very small percentage of accounts in order to see how it works in the wild. Retweet is a button that makes forwarding a particularly interesting tweet to all your followers very easy. In turn, we hope interesting, newsworthy, or even just plain funny information will spread quickly through the network making its way efficiently to the people who want or need to know. You may remember that we shared the mechanics of this feature with developers a while back so they could think about how to work it into Twitter apps. Now we’re ready to start trying it on Twitter. The plan is to see how it goes first with this small release. If it needs more work, then we’ll know right away. If things look good, we’ll proceed with releasing the feature in stages eventually arriving at 100%. This is an interesting feature, because while it isn’t something new to Twitter users, having it available on most applications, it could end up being a huge tool for spammers now limited by the duplicate tweet rule and the API conditions of the platform.
